Peaks and fells within a twelve mile radius of Gallery Mews

The Skiddaw Range is just across Bassenthwaite Lake and very much in view from all three cottages.

The Helvellyn Range overlooking Ullswater and Thirlmere is just a brief car ride away.

The photographic favourites are close by too, including Grisedale Pike and Wainwright's favourite, Haystacks.

Bassenthwaite Lake offers excellent fishing and sailing.

Derwentwater is known as the Queen of the English Lakes. Motor Launch cruises are available during the Summer months.

Keswick offers many wet day options such as a leisure pool, Cars of the Stars museum, an indoor climbing wall and the famous Blue Box Theatre.
