Gallery Mews self-catering cottages are incorporated into a traditionally converted 200 year old Lakeland stone barn overlooking the majestic peak of Skiddaw to the front and set against Thornthwaite Forest to the rear. The cottages are situated in the village of Thornthwaite alongside the renowned Thornthwaite Galleries just two and a half miles North West of Keswick, between Bassenthwaite Lake and Lake Derwentwater in the English Lake District.
The cottages are in a secluded well kept garden with lawns, roses and conifers. There is an excellent variety of good eating close by with a healthy selection of pubs and inns to choose from.
The location of Gallery Mews, having ready access to the A66, is a real strength in making the extensive variety of the whole northern fells an easy holiday option for walkers and tourers alike.
If you are looking for a little gentle relaxation during your stay, we have arranged free access to the Holiday Property Bond exclusive swimming pool located a couple of miles away in Braithwaite.
